The Carlton Football Club today added six new young players at the 2006 NAB AFL Draft. Bryce Gibbs, Shaun Hampson, Shaun Grigg, Mark Austin, Clinton Benjamin and Joseph Anderson will all call the Carlton Football Club home. Carlton passed in the 6th round and now has the opportunity of two selections at the Pre-season Draft on December 12th. Ranked in the top 25% of players tested over 20m (3.00sec) at the NAB AFL Draft Camp, while also recording a Repeat Sprint time of 25.09 which ranked him the top 12% of participants. A combined total of 24.74sec for the Repeat Sprint Test saw Clinton ranked in the top 3% of players undertaking the test in Canberra.Round 5Selection 67Joseph Anderson DOB - 24/12/1988 Hgt - 187.6 Wgt - 81 Hard running and tough defender who won Darwin Best and Fairest Award at senior level this year. Impressive captain for NT at U18 level with his attack on ball and one on one defence. A 2.98sec 20m sprint time at the NAB AFL Draft Camp, coupled with a 14.4 Beep Test show a great speed/endurance combination.
