The flamboyant spearhead had his best season, missing out on the magical ton by a goal and finishing third in the best and fairest behind Chris Judd and Marc Murphy. Benefited from improved delivery from the midfield and was a key component of several victories. His defensive work and role off the ball were keys in making 2008 his best season. Took the most contested marks of any Blue (33). With 486 career goals, he ranks third on the club’s all-time list behind Stephen Kernahan (738) and Harry ‘Soapy’ Vallence (722).
