“Saddo” finally brought some stability to his football, having seemingly overcome the constant issues with knee injury that dogged his Sydney career.

At 28, Saddington may well be on the cusp of career-best football with the Blues and, in the wake of Matthew Lappin’s departure, is now seen as the seasoned wise head in defence.
