Tall running defender who was forced to shoulder extra responsibility in the absence of injured duo Jarrad Waite and Michael Jamison. Better suited against bigger opponents as he has shown the ability to run off them and break the lines. Hurt his knee against Essendon in round 13 and struggled with his fitness in the remaining rounds, but still finished a creditable seventh in the best and fairest.
