Digital Platform Editor

Carlton Football Club is seeking a Digital Platform Editor to showcase their specialist skills and creative side in this important role within the Communications and Marketing team.

This full-time position is responsible for managing the Club’s digital platforms, including desktop, mobile, app and social media channels and will lead the execution of content across these means.

Working directly to the Digital Manager, this role plays an integral part in audience engagement and retention by driving strategically targeted communications and content. The role will also work closely across the Club in addition to players and coaches to deliver digital experiences aligned to the Club’s strategic priorities.

The successful candidate will have journalistic ability and a strong storytelling mindset, in addition to technical skills in content management systems, basic Photoshop knowledge and the ability to lead and manage a small team.  

Furthermore, the successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team and will have the ability work with a range of stakeholders with competing timelines, whilst producing the highest quality of content.

This position is based at Ikon Park in Carlton North and will be offered on a full-time basis.

Graduate Accountant

Carlton Football Club is seeking a Graduate Accountant in this newly created position to support the Corporate Services department.

This position performs an integral role in the finance team. The Graduate Accountant will be responsible for assisting the finance department in, but not limited to, processing of invoices, preparation of statutory calculations and reporting (GST, payroll tax etc.), end of month processes (including balance sheet reconciliations), data entry (including invoices, journals etc), high level analysis of transactions and trends. The role will ensure financial integrity, quality and availability of audit trails for all work performed.

Reporting into the Financial Accountant, the Graduate Accountant will gain exposure to the rest of the business, building a strong rapport with staff at a similar level within the other business units and departments across the Club.

The successful candidate will have completed a relevant undergraduate tertiary qualification in Accounting/Business related discipline and have a minimum of 1-year entry level accounting experience. Commencement of post graduate qualifications with a professional accounting body (i.e. ICAA or CPA Australia) would be highly regarded. In addition to the qualifications, the successful candidate will be committed to achieving customer service excellence, have the ability to read and interpret financial data and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Financial Accountant

Carlton Football Club is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to work within the Corporate Services department.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, this position performs an integral role in the finance team. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for assisting the finance department in, but not limited to, preparation and completion of statutory calculations and reporting (GST, payroll tax etc.), end of month processes (including balance sheet reconciliations), gaming venue reporting, data entry (including journals), fixed asset register maintenance etc.

The Financial Accountant is one of the key conduits between the finance team and the rest of the business, building a strong rapport between the other business units and departments across the Club.

The successful candidate will have completed relevant undergraduate tertiary qualifications in an Accounting/Business related discipline in addition to post graduate qualifications with a professional accounting body (i.e. ICAA or CPA Australia). Pivotal to this role will be excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders across the club on a range of financial matters.
