Cherish the memories, influence the future.

With the festive season well and truly upon us, it gives us the opportunity to reflect on the events of this year, as well as look ahead to the 2018 season.

The Club welcomed a host of new faces throughout the trade and draft period, with every player now hitting the track and working hard to improve on the field.

Everyone at Carlton is determined to grow and build on the foundations the Club has established over the past couple of years – and our members play a very important role on that journey.

Thanks to passionate and committed Blues Forever members, future generations of Carlton fans will always know what it feels like to be bound by blue. Their generosity to leave a bequest in their will is the greatest gift the Club and its supporters can receive. Once family and loved onces are looked after, members often think of their second family – their football club and its community.

Bequest monies are securely invested and only the earnings are used to help the Club grow, stay strong and strive towards sustained success, hence bequests will benefit the Blues Forever.

During the second half of the year, Blues Forever held two functions at Ikon Park.

Generations of Carlton supporters came together to hear all about Blues Forever, gaining a greater understanding of the program and all it has to offer. Club greats John Nicholls, Geoff Southby, David Rhys-Jones and David Glascott attened this first event, with guests lining up to snap a photo with the past legends.

The second function saw Carlton supporters and confirmed bequestors, along with family members and friends, reminisc about past times with some of Carlton’s Unsung Heroes. Barry Gill, Rod Austin, David Parkin and Justin Madden were the unsung heroes invited to the intimate event.

This year 24 people were inducted into the Blues Forever program. If you or a friend would like to join this unique group, or if you’d like more information regarding Blues Forever, please do not hesitate to contact our Bequest Officer, Lou Katsamas, on 9389 6231 or via email on lou.katsamas@carltonfc.com.au
