Do you remember what it was like attending your first ever AFL game?

Well for more than 600 international students, the memory is very fresh, after they attended Carlton's Round 20 clash with the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.

The TAFE and university students, from a variety of countries, were taking part in the Carlton Football Club's New Blue program.

The program aims to promote social inclusion among Melbourne's international students, by getting them involved in our football culture.

Carlton's Multicultural Partnership Coordinator Ned Murphy says it's also a great way for international students to take part in a uniquely Australian experience.

"It's hoped this program can help international students integrate in local communities, while enriching their educational experience in Australia," Murphy said.

"It was great to see students from all over the world joining in with the crowd and cheering along with our most loyal members."
