Carlton is hopeful of regaining midfielder Brock McLean for Saturday's Semi Final against Sydney at ANZ Stadium.

McLean was a late withdrawal from the weekend win over Richmond, after feeling his quad tighten during the warm-up.

Carlton's General Manager of Football Operations Andrew McKay says McLean's decision to put the team first was commendable.

But he says it remains unclear if McLean is ready to return.

"The scan looks good and shows he didn't re-injure his leg, so it's going to depend on how he trains this week," McKay said.

Meanwhile Chris Judd and Heath Scotland have both pulled up well after their return from injury and will be right to line up against the Swans.
