Carlton rookies Heath Scotland and Jaryd Cachia have been given the green light to play in every match this season.

The AFL has granted approval for both players to be designated as 'Nominated Rookies' for the 2014 AFL Premiership Season and Finals Series matches.

Carlton's 264-game veteran Scotland was delisted and redrafted by the Blues at the end of 2013, to ensure the Club could have three picks in the National Draft.

It came after a big year for the 33-year-old, who notched up both his 250th AFL game and his 200th match for Carlton.

Cachia's elevation to nominated rookie status follows the 22-year-old being named Carlton's Best First Year Player, after he managed 14 games in his debut season.
