There are calls for the AFL’s trade window to be reduced to one week, as negotiations continue with little movement.

As at 4pm on day three no trades had been completed, but there has been plenty of speculation about who could be on the move.

Carlton has made a play for Western Bulldog Liam Jones and Giant Kristian Jaksch, with negotiations over both trades continuing.

Meanwhile three Carlton players could be departing: Jeff Garlett looks set to head to Melbourne, Mitch Robinson is being linked to both Hawthorn and Brisbane, while Kane Lucas is weighing up his options back home in Western Australia.

Here’s a summary of all the action and rumours to date:

Done deals:

-       North Melbourne signed former Carlton unrestricted free agent Jarrad Waite. No compensation.

-       North Melbourne signed former Bulldogs restricted free agent Shaun Higgins. Western Bulldogs received a second round draft selection (at the time No. 26 overall) as compensation.
