OVERVIEW
Chris Yarran undoubtedly played his best footy in 2014.

The No.13 proved his skills in being nominated for the AFL's Goal of the Year in both Round 8 and Round 21.

After celebrating his 100th game in a navy blue guernsey, the 23-year-old secured a new two-year deal that will see him at Visy Park until the end of 2016.

In topping off an outstanding season, "Yaz" finished fourth overall for the 2014 John Nicholls Medal.

HE SAID IT
“Carlton has been really good to me since I moved over from Western Australia. The Club gave me an opportunity and I’m really thankful they want me to stick around."

 - Chris Yarran speaking after agreeing to a new two-year deal that will extend his stay at Visy Park until the end of 2016.

THEY SAID IT
“He’s (Yarran’s)  been a very good footballer for us all year. You’d love to be able to clone him and play him in several positions…He can equally go to the wing and be damaging. He can equally go to the half-forward line and kick a goal."

 - Mick Malthouse speaking after Carlton’s Round 15 clash with Collingwood at the MCG.

SEASON HIGHLIGHT
During Carlton’s Round 21’s clash with Geelong, Chris Yarran was nominated for the AFL’s Hungry Jack’s Goal of the Year, for a brilliant running goal during the third quarter. Yarran gathered the ball on the wing then with a burst of speed accelerated away from Geelong’s Travis Varcoe. After two bounces he kicked from inside 50 and booted through a goal.
