Carlton's Dale Thomas has congratulated Blues supporters for their choice of guernsey for next season.

Members voted to revert back to the heritage CFC monogram, most notably worn by Carlton players during the Club's most successful period.

Thomas says allowing members the opportunity to vote was a great decision.

“It's good to see that the fans have voted and it's great that the footy club has given them the opportunity to choose which jumper they want to see the Club represented by,” Thomas said.

"Obviously a lot of the fans have some great memories with the old-style jumper and it's fantastic to see."

The Blues utility, who made his debut for Carlton in Round 1 this year, says he's so far enjoying an injury-free pre-season.

"It's probably been the first time in a couple of years that I've been able to run over the break and I've thoroughly enjoyed it," Thomas said.

"To be out there day one and running around on the track, it has been a good start to this pre-season."

Along with his teammates, Thomas says he's willing to do whatever it takes for Carlton to return to sustained success.

"The group that we've got are really driving and striving to get to high places and I'm no different,” Thomas said.

"I want to be a part of that and contribute to the best of my abilities – it all starts with a hard pre-season. The boys are really digging in and I'm no different.

"I'm pretty confident that if we can do that, stay on the path as long as possible, we can really give next year a big shift."
