In 2015, new recruit Kristian Jaksch will wear guernsey No.18.

The 20-year-old arrived at the Blues after being traded from GWS, alongside teammate Mark Whiley.

Jaksch can now look forward to debuting for Carlton in a number that was once worn by Justin Murphy and Alf Baud.

It's fair to say that Justin Murphy, who played 185-games for Carlton, is most fondly remembered for holding the ball high as the final siren sounded in one of Carlton's most famous victories – defeating Essendon by one point in the 1999 preliminary final.

Meanwhile Baud, who captained the Blues in 1915, also played in the 1914 and 1915 grand finals.
