The 2015 NAB Challenge kicks off this week with Carlton set to play its first game against West Coast in Mandurah.

A total of 27 NAB Challenge matches will be played over the next month at regional and suburban football grounds around the country.

The NAB Challenge gives fans the chance to see how their club is shaping up for the season ahead and a first look at those new players who have arrived either via the NAB AFL Draft or the NAB AFL Trade Period.

For the first time in over a decade AFL and club members with game access have free entry to those NAB Challenge matches in which their club is competing (subject to availability, upgrade fees may be applicable) while prices for the 2015 NAB Challenge are unchanged from 2014 (excluding additional fees and charges), with prices from $18 for adults and concession, $4 for juniors (under 15) and $36 for families (2 Adults, 4 Children under 15).

In another first for fans, anyone attending a match over the first three weeks of this year’s NAB Challenge will be granted on-ground access post-match to enjoy a kick-to-kick with their family and friends.

AFL General Manager Mark Evans said: “The NAB Challenge captures the excitement and anticipation that comes with the return of the football season each year.

“It marks the beginning of the football journey for both players and fans alike and this year supporters right around the country, particularly those in regional and suburban areas, will be able to get closer to the game than ever before.

“We are pleased to be offering free access for club members this year, along with post-match kick-to-kick over the first three weeks. There will be something for every fan for the duration of this year’s NAB Challenge, which culminates with a week of matches played at our metropolitan venues, including a number of derbies and a double header at Etihad Stadium.”
