DALE THOMAS

Scans and consultation over the last 24 hours have revealed Carlton player Dale Thomas suffered a shoulder subluxation in the opening minutes on Thursday night’s season opener.

Club doctors and an independent shoulder specialist evaluated the scans this evening and it has been determined that surgery is not required and the best course of action is to treat conservatively.

Thomas is expected to miss six matches.

KRISTIAN JAKSCH

After feeling some discomfort post-game and throughout the night that followed, scans yesterday revealed Carlton debutant Kristian Jaksch had suffered two broken ribs.

This setback is expected to keep Jaksch sidelined for two matches.
