Crowl McDonald Medal:
The player judged best on ground in Saturday’s match in Wellington will be awarded the Crowl McDonald medal.

The newly created medal has been named in honour of former St Kilda player Claude Crowl and former Carlton player Fen McDonald. Both men made their VFL debut in the same match in Round 15 at Princes Park in 1911, and both lost their lives in Gallipoli on April 25, 1915.

The award will be judged by members of the media.

Debutant:
Carlton’s first-round draft pick Blaine Boekhorst will make his AFL debut this weekend.

The 21-year-old is a pacey midfielder from Western Australia. He was recruited to Carlton from Swan Districts with selection No. 19 overall in the 2014 National Draft.

Milestone - Michael Malthouse:
Carlton coach Mick Malthouse will coach his 714th game in Saturday’s clash with St Kilda in Wellington, which will equal Jock McHale’s record for the most games coached in VFL/AFL history.

Malthouse’s record includes 135 games with Footscray, 243 games with West Coast, 286 games with Collingwood and 49 games with Carlton.

Milestone - Andrejs Everitt:
Carlton’s Andrejs Everitt will play his 100th AFL match in Saturday’s clash with St Kilda in Wellington.

Everitt was traded to Carlton from Sydney in the 2013 trade period. He made his debut in the navy blue in Round 1, 2014 v Port Adelaide and ran out 17 times for the Blues last year.

The 26-year-old finished equal 7th last year in Carlton’s best and fairest.
