Carlton could regain four players from injury for Friday night's clash with the Cats at Etihad Stadium.

Patrick Cripps, Lachie Henderson, Kade Simpson and Andrew Walker will all be tested at training this week.

Cripps and Simpson are both recovering from calf injuries, while Henderson has been out with a hamstring strain and Walker was rested last week to manage his niggling knee.

However defender Michael Jamison will spend another two weeks on the sidelines.

Head of Football Andrew McKay says Jamison has suffered a setback in his recovery from a calf injury.

"He's aggravated that calf again in a different spot … so it will be a bit of a setback for him but we expect him to be available in a couple of weeks," McKay said.

Meanwhile it's unclear how long Irishman Ciaran Sheehan will spend on the sidelines.

Sheehan has had hip surgery following the onset of Osteitis Pubis – a condition which causes pain in the groin area.

Giles (foot) indefinite
