Name: Daniel Kirkovski
Carlton member years: 8 years
Favourite player: Chris Judd & Patrick Cripps
Memorable match: Round 11, 2004 Carlton v Adelaide, AAMI Stadium

Blues member Daniel Kirkovski religiously goes to the footy with his younger brother and a couple of mates and says “seeing everyone come together” is what he loves most about match-days.

“It’s our time away from work and the stresses of day-to-day life – it’s nice to get away and sort of really feel like we’re part of something,” Daniel said.

A Credit Analyst at the Bank of Melbourne, Daniel has been a Bluebagger since the day he was born and has been going to games since he was a toddler.

“Dad started taking me to Princes Park when I was three or four years old – ever since I could understand what was going on.

“I can remember the first game I went to was back in the early ‘90s, we played Melbourne at Princes Park and we won – back then I don’t think I saw a losing game,” he joked.

Daniel comes from an entire family of Bluebaggers and has even converted his wife.

“My wife was a Collingwood supporter when I met her but now she’s a Blue – she just wants me to be happy and when Carlton wins I’m happy!” he laughed.

Carlton’s traditional rivals, Collingwood, Essendon and Richmond, are the teams Daniel loves to win against … and in that order.

“Not that I like losing, but when we lose to Richmond it’s a bit easier to stomach, as opposed to Collingwood or Essendon – I just hate to lose against those two,” he said.

Chris Judd was Daniel’s favourite player, but now that 'Juddy' has retired he’s turned his attention to young star Patrick Cripps who looks like a “real promising player”.

“It was Chris Judd, as a two-time Brownlow Medallist, All Australian, MVP and premiership captain – but now I love watching Patty Cripps run around,” he said.

“He’s played 10 or 15 games and he’s a big midfielder who reminds me a bit of Nat Fyfe –he looks like he’s going to be a really good player and a future captain of Carlton.”
