OVERVIEW
After notching up his 50th AFL game last season, Rob Warnock only managed two matches in navy blue this year.

Shoulder injuries hampered the 206cm ruckman during the NAB Challenge and then during the official season. Warnock partially dislocated his shoulder on multiple occasions against Geelong in Round 8. As a result it was decided midyear he would undergo surgery that would prematurely end his season.

Before injuring his shoulder in June, the tap-specialist was a late inclusion in Round 5’s clash with Collingwood at the MCG. In that match Warnock had 29 hit-outs and five contested possessions.

He also played standout games for the Northern Blues in the VFL, including the Round 2 match against Port Melbourne.

HE SAID IT
“The legs are feeling pretty good, (Saturday) was one of those days where it was pretty tight and scrappy and there wasn’t a whole lot of spread. I’ve still got to keep working on getting my form and fitness up and working hard during the week. Hopefully then I’ll be able to start knocking on the door.”

- Rob Warnock speaking after a dominant performance for the Northern Blues on ANZAC Day.

THEY SAID IT
“[It is] unable to function at the level required, certainly to play senior footy, so we think the best course of action is to go and get that surgically repaired. That means Rob's out for the rest of the season, unfortunately."

- Andrew McKay speaking about Warnock’s shoulder in June when it was decided the ruckman would undergo season-ending surgery.

SEASON HIGHLIGHT
