OVERVIEW
Since arriving at Carlton from the Western Bulldogs last year, Jason Tutt burst onto the scene with his electrifying pace.

It didn’t take long for the 177cm midfielder to make his debut in navy blue, pulling on the jumper for the first time in Round 2 against West Coast.

A highlight for Tutt came in the Blues’ Round 21 victory over Melbourne. The pacey midfielder gathered 26 disposals and four tackles.

Tutt also played six games for the Northern Blues and was named in their best players on four occasions.

HE SAID IT
“After the North game I had a week off and then played in the VFL last week, so just to be able to come in and contribute really well yesterday I was really pleased.”

THEY SAID IT
"As a latecomer there are a lot of things we believe we can mature, but he's quick and he kicks the ball a long way and he has a habit of kicking a goal at the right time. Distance won't worry him because he has a good capacity to run games out at a good velocity and he was a bit stiff last week."

SEASON HIGHLIGHT
On two occasions this season Tutt was awarded Carlton’s Tackle of the Week, highlighted on the Carlton website. In Round 10 against the Crows, Tutt pulled Rory Laird clean off the ball to stop a certain shot on goal. Meanwhile in Round 23 Tutt chased down Hawthorn’s Isaac Smith, eventually dragging him to ground.
