One punch. That's all it takes to change lives forever.

To show their support of anti-violence organisation Step Back Think, selected Carlton players will don orange bootlaces this Saturday against the Giants.

This week marks Step Back Think’s Team Lace Up campaign; encouraging athletes across the country to pull on orange laces and raise awareness around the causes and consequences of social violence.

Carlton skipper Marc Murphy handed out the bright orange laces to his teammates during the week, and says it’s an important cause to support.

“Coward punches and any sort of social violence is not acceptable in our society,” Murphy said.

“We’re really passionate about this issue so the boys jumped at the chance to thread the orange laces this weekend.”

More than $8,000 has been raised so far for this year’s Team Lace Up campaign.
