Carlton has regained livewire Dennis Armfield for Sunday's clash against Adelaide at the MCG.

The 29-year-old replaces injured youngster Ciaran Byrne as the Blues' sole change to the side which suffered a 12-point loss to Collingwood.

Armfield, who has booted six goals in his past three outings, will be a welcome addition to Carlton's forward-line after missing the past two rounds with a ruptured testicle.

Sam Docherty and Andrejs Everitt will notch up their 50th games in the navy blue since crossing over from Brisbane and Sydney respectively, while Sam Kerridge and Matthew Wright will face their old side for the first time.

Father-son selection Jack Silvagni, who impressed on debut last week, has been rewarded with a spot in Carlton's forward-line.

Kade Simpson will again captain the side in the absence of injured skipper Marc Murphy.
