Carlton forward Levi Casboult has been charged by the AFL Tribunal for striking Adelaide defender Kyle Hartigan during Sunday's clash at the MCG.

The 26-year-old can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the Crows, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct with medium impact to the body. The incident was classified as a two-match sanction.

Casboult has no applicable record which impacts the penalty, with an early plea enabling him to accept a one-match sanction.
