The Northern Blues will return to Ikon Park this weekend in their clash with Footscray.

It’ll be just the second time the Blues have played at the venue this VFL season, with the last two matches being moved to Preston City Oval.

However, this Sunday will go ahead as scheduled, with entry free for either Carlton or Northern Blues members.

The clash with the Dogs will see the Blues vying for their second consecutive win, and looking to atone for a 49-point loss to Footscray in Round 1.

The last time the Blues played at Ikon Park they emerged victorious by 40 points over Frankston, while Saturday’s win over North Ballarat saw the likes of David Cuningham and Harry McKay feature.

With Carlton to play in Sydney on Saturday afternoon, the match presents the best opportunity for Blues fans to see their boys in action in Victoria this weekend.

The match will commence from 2pm, preceded by the Development side’s fixture against Coburg at 11am.
