Carlton and Essendon will do battle at the MCG on Saturday afternoon to wrap up their 2016 home-and-away season.
On Tuesday the AFL released its Round 23 fixture, which had been floating since it was initially announced at the end of last year.
The Blues will take on the Bombers at the MCG at 2:10pm on Saturday 27 August.
The last time these two sides met was Round 6, with Carlton walking away 15-point winners.
