Bluebaggers, the 2017 Toyota AFL Premiership Season has arrived!

On Thursday 23 March, Carlton will take the field to line-up against Richmond at the MCG, from 7:20pm.

With the traditional season-opener expected to see over 75,000 fans enter the gates to catch their first footy fix of the 2017 AFL season, we’ve got you covered with all the finer details surrounding the match.

TICKETS:

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased via Ticketek.

Fans are encouraged to pre-purchase a reserved seat to guarantee entry and secure a spot in the heart of the battle.

Carlton members with general admission entitlements can upgrade to a reserved seat by entering their 12-digit membership barcode number online.

GATE OPENING:

The Gates will open at 5:00pm.

Security procedures including bag checks and patron scanning will take place upon entry, so make sure you arrive early to ensure you don’t miss a minute of the game-day experience.

GETTING THERE:

By car:

Peak hour traffic may lead to congestion surrounding the MCG, so be sure to leave plenty of time if you plan to drive to the match.

Limited car parking space is available in Yarra Park, however fans should be aware that at the conclusion of the match, vehicles will be held back until pedestrians have cleared the precinct safely.

Yarra Park Opening:

Gate 3 - 3:00pm
Gate 5 & 6 - 4:00pm
Gate 7 - 7:00am

By public transport:

The MCG is conveniently located in walking distance from Richmond and Jolimont Train Stations, as well as Tram Routes No. 70 (City-Wattle Park), No.75 (City-Vermont South) and No.48 (City-North Balwyn).
