Carlton has made three changes for its match against Greater Western Sydney at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Liam Jones, Jed Lamb and Dale Thomas are the inclusions, replacing Samo Petrevski-Seton (managed) and omitted pair Nick Graham and Harrison Macreadie.

Thomas returns after he was sidelined for one match with a broken nose and concussion, while Jones and Lamb will make their first senior appearances of the season.

Jones has been one of the protagonists of the Northern Blues' five-game winning streak, starring in a multitude of roles - most recently as a defender.

"He’s in a rare vein of form," Northern Blues coach Josh Fraser recently said.

"Firstly, his attitude to his footy and his teammates have been standouts and he sets a great example for his teammates. His performances in multiple roles have been terrific and have been underpinned by his hunger for the contest."

A knee injury delayed Lamb's start to the season, but the clever forward has earned the opportunity to face his old side.

The 24-year-old has averaged 17 disposals and five tackles in each of his three VFL games this season, and will line up alongside fellow Giants-turned-Blues Lachie Plowman, Caleb Marchbank and Liam Sumner on Sunday.

There'll be extra motivation for the Blues to claim the four points against the top-of-the-table Giants, with Matthew Kreuzer and Plowman running out for their 150th and 50th games respectively.
