Jack Silvagni has been named the Round 13 NAB AFL Rising Star nominee.

The impressive young forward stood up in the Blues' 10-point over Gold Coast on Saturday night, booting two final-term goals and collecting 13 disposals.

He becomes the Blues' fourth Rising Star nominee this season - a club record - following in the foosteps of Caleb Marchbank, Samo Petrevski-Seton and David Cuningham.

A third-generation Carlton footballer, Silvagni played school football with Xavier College and TAC Cup football with the Oakleigh Chargers before representing Victoria Metro at the 2015 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships. The 191cm forward was Carlton’s 53rd selection under the father-son rule in the 2015 NAB AFL National Draft.

After showing consistent form in the VFL where he kicked 10 goals in three weeks, Silvagni made his AFL debut for the Blues in Round 15 last season against traditional rival Collingwood at the MCG.

Following each round of the home-and-away season, a panel of judges selects a NAB AFL Rising Star nominee. At the completion of the season, one of these nominees will be chosen as the 2017 NAB AFL Rising Star.
