A few extra pairs of footy boots took to the track at Ikon Park this morning for Carlton’s second annual ‘Dads and Dudes Day’. 

On the eve of the side’s clash with Richmond, the players arrived at training in the company of their fathers, father-in-laws, uncles, friends and mentors.

At the Blues’ home base, the dads and dudes were invited into the team’s pre and post-training meetings before being decked out in training gear ready to hit the turf.

While a few of the special guests took a trip down memory lane when they laced-up their footy boots, the Blues took the field with an extra spring in their step hoping to outclass and outplay their loved ones.

Despite falling slightly short of the players out on the field, the dads and dudes successfully made it to the end of the session and were relived to refuel and cap off the memorable morning with a group lunch.
