With 37 hitouts (15 to advantage), 14 disposals and two goals, Kreuzer was selected in the line-up as a follower, alongside Bulldogs midfielder Marcus Bontempelli and Swans captain Josh Kennedy.

As a shining light for the navy blue squad on Sunday, Kreuzer made an impression on senior coaches Brendon Bolton and Damien Hardwick, with the tall awarded five votes for the 2017 AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award. Teammate Patrick Cripps also received three votes from the coaches after he recorded 27 disposals (17 contested) 10 clearances, eight tackles and one goal against the Tigers.

The Blues will look for another strong performance from the experienced ruckman when they take on Adelaide at the MCG on Saturday from 2:10pm.
