MULTICULTURAL ROUND:

Every match during the 2017 Multicultural Round will feature special Sherrin footballs with each to be stamped with the word ‘Welcome’ in the six most-spoken languages in Australia including Italian, Greek, Hindi, Arabic, Mandarin and Spanish.

Fans will also notice the hashtag ‘#ManyCulturesOneGame’ marked on the field and bilingual messaging painted on the 50m arc. In a display of harmony, the umpires at each game will wear orange wristbands with orange goal flags to be used in place of the traditional white flags.

ZTE Match Day Moments is back for 2017. Make sure you find the staff on the concourse before the game for your chance to be on the big screen.  

AFL AND VICHEALTH WATER BOTTLE GIVEAWAY:

The AFL and VicHealth are giving away footy shaped water bottles at Carlton’s clash with Geelong. Get in quick to grab your water bottle upon entering the Stadium. There will also be a limited number of water bottles available at the four VicHealth water fountains located on Level 1.

CURTAIN RAISER:

Before the main event between the Blues and the Cats, there will be a Mercury Cider Legends Game. The curtain-raiser match will kick off at 5:10pm. 

COMMUNITY CHAMPION:

This week Carlton recognises the community contribution of AMES Australia, acknowledging the organisation as the Blues Foundation’s Community Champion for Round 19.

AMES Australia provides a range of comprehensive settlement support programs, English language and vocational training, employment, community engagement and volunteering services to migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. 

Following their visit to the Club on Thursday, recently arrived refugees and migrants from AMES Australia will form Carlton’s guard of honour before the match.

At each home game, the Carlton Football Club, through the Blues Foundation’s Community Champion Award, recognises someone in the community for their tireless work in gender equality, cultural inclusion or developing grassroots football, living out the Carlton Football Club values.

Etihad Stadium’s Car Park is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with more than 2,500 undercover car parks available. 

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:

Southern Cross Station is located adjacent to Etihad Stadium and can be accessed via a short walk across the Bourke Street pedestrian footbridge. 

City trams run to Etihad Stadium from La Trobe Street and Harbour Esplanade. 

Trams also stop in the CBD on Spencer Street, Bourke Street and Collins Street and all are a short walk to Etihad Stadium.
