Saturday night's match marks the 30th anniversary of Carlton’s 1987 premiership, and to celebrate, the Club’s co-major partner Hyundai is making it a night to remember.

DAVID PARKIN MEDAL:

Carlton and Hawthorn players will play for the David Parkin Medal on Saturday night. Named in honour of the Blues’ triple premiership coach and Hawks great, the medal will be awarded to the player he judges to be best afield during the clash.

The medal will be presented in the team rooms post-match, to a player who demonstrates exceptional leadership, presence and team values. 

CURTAIN RAISER

The AFL International Cup Women's Grand Final will be played before the Blues’ Round 22 clash with Hawthorn. The match between Canada and Ireland will kick off from 4:30pm.

The AFL International Cup is played every three years, with the teams comprising amateur footballers who must be nationals of the country they represent.

Carlton’s 1987 premiership team will do a lap of honour ahead of the Blues’ clash with the Hawks to celebrate the 30th anniversary of our ’87 premiership. Be in your seat to support the past players when they return to the field at 7:00pm.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:

Southern Cross Station is located adjacent to Etihad Stadium and can be accessed via a short walk across the Bourke Street pedestrian footbridge. 

City trams run to Etihad Stadium from La Trobe Street and Harbour Esplanade. 

Trams also stop in the CBD on Spencer Street, Bourke Street and Collins Street and all are a short walk to Etihad Stadium.
