They’re back!

Carlton’s youngest players returned to the Club on Monday, after enjoying an eight-week break.

Arriving early this morning feeling fit and fresh, the players were raring to go as day one of pre-season training kicked off at Ikon Park.

With a number of new faces around the Club, including new assistant coaches David Teague and Cameron Bruce, along with development coach Brent Stanton, there was plenty of introductions and welcoming handshakes.

Once the formalities had concluded, it was time for assessments, meetings, weight training and skill sessions to begin.

Young forward Charlie Curnow said he was pleased to be back on the track and catch up with his teammates.

"Everyone has come back really happy, it's good to see all the boys and everyone has come back in pretty good nick," Curnow said.

"There's a new feel around the Club with all the new coaches and I'm pretty keen to start learning from them – it's a really good environment."

The full squad will come together for the first time in two weeks, with Carlton’s 4+ year players kicking off their pre-season on Monday 13 November.
