Members and supporters are welcome to attend a celebration of the life of the late dual Carlton Premiership player and Senior Coach Ken Hands, to be held in the George Harris Function Room on the afternoon of Thursday, January 25.

Hands, the last man standing from Carlton’s 1945 (“Bloodbath”) and ’47 Grand Final victories, and Senior Coach of the team that contested the ’62 Grand Final, died on December 22 at the age of 91.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Hands’ son John encouraged the Carlton faithful to share in acknowledgement of a life well-lived.

“Dad loved the club and could never have imagined going anywhere else, even when presented with the opportunity,” John said. “He loved the Carlton Football Club with all his heart.”

Ken Hands: A Celebration commences at 3.30pm on the afternoon of Thursday, January 25, at Ikon Park.
