The grass is cut, the white lines are drawn and the goalposts are up – footy is back at Ikon Park and we couldn’t be more excited!

Our traditional home will be buzzing on Friday 2 February, when Carlton and Collingwood kick off the second AFLW season under lights.

The Round 1 clash between the teams was a historic event last year, with more than 24,000 fans packing the iconic grandstands to witness the first AFLW match.

This year, the action will not only be inside the ground, but the entire precinct will be alive with activity.

Head to the family-friendly ‘Outer Party’ located on the northern lawn, put down your picnic rug and catch every kick, mark and handball on the big screen. With plenty of space don’t forget to bring your footy and have a kick with the kids too!

If you don’t have time to pack the picnic basket, you’ll be able to grab a bite to eat at one of the many food trucks, including Nem N Nem, Reel Fish and Chips and Mamma Van.

For the most dedicated Blues fans, make sure you visit the Hyundai Fan Van, located at Gate 6, to collect the newest addition of our bobblehead family, Bri Davey. There will be 1,000 bobbleheads of our reigning AFLW best and fairest winner to be given away from 5:45pm.

Don’t miss your chance to see global indie superstar Melbourne singer-songwriter Alex Lahey. Described as one of the brightest talents in Australia, Alex will be performing some of her best tunes during the half time break.

To make getting to and from the game easy, the Club’s sponsor Uber, will set up a station on Royal Parade, located right out the front of Ikon Park. For those wishing to catch public transport there will be additional trams running up and down Royal Parade.

Whether you’re a passionate Bluebagger or new to the game, you’ll be sure to enjoy everything on offer at the home of women’s football.
