CARLTON'S players spread the joy amongst Victoria's Bluebaggers young and old over the past two days at the annual AFL Community Camp.

Visiting regional and metro centres in Victoria, the Blues travelled to the Yarra Ranges, including Warburton and Yarra Junction, as well as Darebin, Banyule, Whittlesea and Nilumbik.

On the first day of the camp, the playing group visited primary schools and junior footy clubs in the Warburton region, before having dinner at Warburton FC and staying overnight in the area.

Twenty-five players visited the Yarra Ranges, including Matthew Lobbe, who hails from Emerald.

On Wednesday, selected players visited the Worawa Aboriginal College in Healesville, Yarra Junction Bowling Club and the Gawler Foundation – a non-profit organisation that promotes a holistic and integrative approach to health, healing and wellbeing.

A number of players also paid visits to Melbourne’s metro primary schools, with Patrick Cripps, Kade Simpson, Paddy Dow and Angus Schumacher visiting Reservoir West Primary School while Matthew Wright, Jarrod Garlett and Jesse Glass-McCasker dropped into Norris Bank Primary School in Bundoora to host a clinic and Q&A session with the young students.

Every year more than 750 players across the competition immerse themselves in regional communities, holding school clinics and visiting local clubs to strengthen grassroots football.
