RUGBY Sevens Rio Olympic gold medallist Chloe Dalton will make her debut for Carlton’s VFLW team this weekend, after making the switch to Aussie Rules at the start of the year.

With a fierce attack on the ball and amble speed and agility, Dalton will be hoping to make an impact in her first footy hitout.

The 24-year-old is one of seven changes to the team, with AFLW players Jess Hosking, Kate Shierlaw, Sarah Last and Reni Hicks coming into the side, as well as VFLW players Kimberly Cunico and Katelyn Cox.

After a convincing win against Frankston in the Round 1 opener, the Blues will be looking to carry their momentum into Round 2 when they take on the Bulldogs at Rams Arena on Sunday afternoon.

This week also marks the AFL Victoria’s beyondblue Round, raising awareness about anxiety and depression and encouraging people to seek help for mental health conditions.

The players will wear blue armbands in support of the cause.

Make sure you head down to Rams Arena on Sunday afternoon to watch the women take on the Dogs, with the match kicking off at 12pm.
