THE Northern Blues have named their revised 27-man squad for Sunday’s game against Collingwood.

In line with Carlton’s AFL team announcement, Northern has named its squad — including emergencies — for the match at Olympic Park Oval.

Patrick Kerr comes out of the side after a hip injury, while Levi Casboult, Jarrod Garlett, Matthew Kennedy and Sam Rowe are out of the VFL squad after making the final AFL team.

Cameron O’Shea is named at centre-half-back, while fellow Carlton emergencies Nick Graham, Darcy Lang and Andrew Phillips are all named in the midfield six.

In the absence of Kerr, it will be up to Tom De Koning and Harry McKay in the forward line, while young vice-captains Mason Blakey, Kane Keppel and Marcus Stavrou will have central roles down back.

There are currently 10 inclusions into the squad, with six of those confirmed. Out of the team from last week are Jarrod Garlett, Matthew Kennedy, Aaron Mullett, Cameron Polson (all AFL selection), Jesse Glass-McCasker and Alex Silvagni ( bothinjured).

Key forward McKay returns after illness, which kept him out of last week’s game against Richmond.

Kym Lebois, Cillian McDaid and Jarrod Pickett will continue their returns from their respective injury layoffs on Sunday, with Pickett named in the forward pocket.

The Northern Knights’ Joel Naylor reprises his role as 23rd man, after an impressive performance on debut last weekend.

Sunday’s game takes place at Olympic Park Oval at 11:30am, prior to the AFL clash later that day. The game is free entry for all supporters.
