COMMON GROUND

Carlton will take part in its inaugural Common Ground game this Sunday against Hawthorn at Etihad Stadium. Creating a strong sense of belonging, the Club’s Common Ground initiative aims to welcome new Australians to our country and promote social and cultural inclusion. As part of the Blues’ game-day activations, 30 conferees from more than 15 countries will become Australian citizens, as the Club hosts a citizenship ceremony at Etihad Stadium. DAVID PARKIN MEDAL

Carlton and Hawthorn players will play for the David Parkin Medal on Sunday afternoon. Named in honour of the Blues’ triple premiership coach and Hawks great, the medal will be awarded to the player judged best afield during the clash. The medal will be presented in the team rooms post-match, to a player who demonstrates exceptional leadership, presence and team values. 

KOUTA V ANG

It’s Kouta v Ang in the battle of the bobbleheads! In the lead-up to this weekend’s clash, Carlton fans will have the chance to decide which Blues champ will become the next member of the Hyundai bobblehead collection. Supporters can place their vote for Anthony Koutoufides or Ang Christou via our Facebook poll, with the winner to be announced at half-time during Sunday’s game. Click here for more information.

Designed for children aged between 5-15 years old, uCube is a new interactive kids zone located inside Gate 5. Opening 90 minutes before the first bounce and closing at the end of half-time, uCube has a huge variety of sensory play equipment, including slides, ball pits, obstacles, jumping mats, tackle bags and footballs.

Etihad Stadium’s carpark is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with more than 2,500 undercover carparks available. 

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Southern Cross Station is located adjacent to Etihad Stadium. It is a short walk across the Bourke Street pedestrian footbridge.

City trams run to Etihad Stadium from La Trobe Street and Harbour Esplanade.

Trams also stop in the CBD on Spencer Street, Bourke Street and Collins Street and all are a short walk to Etihad Stadium.
