THE Blues have selected big man Matthew Lobbe to make his Carlton debut for Sunday’s clash with Hawthorn at Etihad Stadium.

The former Port Adelaide vice-captain joined Carlton in the 2017 trade period, after 92 senior appearances through eight seasons with the Power.

The 29-year-old will provide valuable experience for the Blues’ emerging side, and is joined by Levi Casboult, Jacob Weitering and Matthew Wright as Carlton's four inclusions.

Lobbe becomes the 10th Carlton debutant in season 2018.

Young defender Weitering returns to the side this week after overcoming a calf injury, while Matthew Kreuzer and Jed Lamb miss through injury and suspension respectively. Jarrod Garlett and veteran Sam Rowe have been omitted.

The Blues face the Hawks at 1:10pm on Sunday at Etihad Stadium.
