CARLTON has regained Matthew Kreuzer for its clash with Fremantle at Optus Stadium on Sunday.

The big man will take to the field for the first time since experiencing a raised heart rate in Round 17, with the Blues having carefully managed the 29-year-old.

He joins Sam Kerridge and Jack Silvagni as Carlton's inclusions, while Matthew Kennedy (ankle), Nick Graham and Cameron O'Shea (omitted) make way.

The Blues announced this afternoon that Kennedy would require surgery to repair ankle ligament damage, which is expected to keep the former Giant sidelined for 12 weeks.

Sunday will mark Carlton's first-ever game at Optus Stadium, with the bounce at 2:40pm local time.

Perth-based Bluebaggers can meet the players in an open session from 1:15pm AWST at Optus Stadium on Saturday, while a gold-coin donation will allow access to a pre-match supporter function at The Camfield from 11am to 2pm on Sunday.
