In this week’s Carlton News Update, CFC TV reporter Michelle Trewartha gives us a quick snapshot of what’s been happening around the Club.

The Blues have returned from their AFL Community Camp in Bendigo, after spending two days meeting with local community groups and schools. In sweltering conditions, the highlight  of the trip was the Auskick training session where more than 300 enthusiastic young footballers were taught the skills of the game by Carlton’s playing group.

With just one week to go before the Blues' first NAB Cup hit out against Sydney and GWS, the playing group has survived their first intra-club hit out. CFC TV was on hand to catch all the action, with an exclusive behind-the-scenes feature on Zach Tuohy. Although some big names have been rested, the team will play again this Friday at 10am at VISY Park.

Don’t forget  Carlton’s biggest supporter function is on this Sunday. Formerly known as Carlton’s Family Day, the Carlton Carnival kicks off at 11am at VISY Park and will give supporters the opportunity to meet all their favourite players and hear from Senior Coach, Mick Malthouse for the time. Entry is free for all 2013 members, with non-members able to purchase tickets on the day at $20 for family, $10 per adult and $5 for children.

Carlton’s News Update is one of many new features appearing on CFC TV this year. Keep an eye out as the season continues for breaking news updates, in-depth player features and exclusive behind the scenes footage.
