Last Friday night’s clash against the Hawks saw students from Our Lady Help Of Christians Primary School given the opportunity to hit the ground at Etihad Stadium as part of the Carlton Football Club’s Multicultural Program.

Carlton Community Partnership Coordinator, Chris Axais said all students made the most of the once in a lifetime opportunity to take part in the halftime AUSKCIK experience.

“Many of the students had never visited Etihad Stadium, let alone been granted access to warm up in the change rooms, kick the footy on the oval and see their heroes up close and personal ” he said.

“With a 50,000 strong crowed there were some nervous faces as the kids lined up in the race, however once they stepped foot on the turf those nerves turned into great energy.

“All the kids involved had a great time and we hope this was an experience they will never forget.”
