Taken as a high draft pick by GWS in 2012, the versatile defender was picked up in a trade deal with three other former Giants at the end of 2015. After his start to last season was delayed by hip surgery, he played his first game for Carlton in Round 4, acquitting himself well against Bulldogs star Jake Stringer in holding him goalless and did not miss another match. Uses the ball well and generally makes good decisions. Courageous, strong in the air and can play on smaller or much bigger opponents.

Draft history: 2012 NAB AFL Draft 1st round selection (GWS Giants) No.3 overall; 2015 NAB AFL Draft traded by GWS Giants for No.33 (Mitch Hibberd), No.63 (Rupert Wills), 6th round selection (not utilised) and 2016 1st round selection No.17 (Jarrod Berry).
