Michael Jamison and Andrew Walker both met with their specialist today to determine the extent of their shoulder injuries and to decide the appropriate course of action for their rehabilitation.

Walker re-injured his right shoulder while playing for the Northern Bullants in a VFL practice match at Visy Park on Saturday.

Andrew will have surgery on Wednesday morning and it is likely that he will miss the majority of the 2009 season.

In better news, Michael Jamison is expected to be sidelined for 2 to 3 weeks after he injured his shoulder against Brisbane on Saturday nights.

The Club has decided to take a conservative approach to manage the injury. Jamison will commence his rehabilitation immediately and will receive extensive treatment on his shoulder and will not have an operation.

“Obviously it’s disappointing to be possibly missing a couple of matches, but when you look at Andrew’s injury and the time he may be out of action, you realize that I am pretty fortunate. The important thing for me now is to put all my efforts into rehabilitation to ensure I return as soon as possible,” Jamison told carltonfc.com.au.
