Exciting first year player Dennis Armfield has a fractured finger on his right hand and is expected to miss two to three weeks. The fracture requires an operation and Armfield will undergo surgery tomorrow.

Armfield was Carlton's third round selection, number 46 overall, in last year's NAB AFL National Draft. Originally from Eastern Hill Hawks in WA, he was recruited from Swan Districts. The 21 year-old has played the four games since making his AFL debut in round ten against Geelong at The Dome when he became the 1,115th player to represent Carlton in the AFL.
