Women of Carlton – Dinner with the Boys
Monday August 16
In the old days it was the traditional pie-night deep within the confines of the Robert Heatley Stand . . . now it’s Dinner with the Boys, in the company of Carlton’s fairer sex within the salubrious surrounds of Etihad Stadium.
The well-heeled members of the Women of Carlton coterie are hosting the function, at which Jarrad Waite, Shaun Hampson, Michael Jamison and Shaun Grigg are front and centre – on August 16 at the Docklands venue.
The Age journalist, Before the Game Panellist and unashamed Carlton devotee Samantha Lane is the MC for the function, which includes a two-course meal, canapés on arrival and tea/coffee, and a cash bar operating.
WoC Members need only pay $75 for the privilege, with non-members asked to part with $85.
Contact Chris Argent to make a booking by ph. 9389 6253, fax 9387 7805 or email chris.argent@carltonfc.com.au

Women of Carlton at Raheen
The Carlton Football Club with Patron Jeanne Pratt and Women of Carlton hosted a lunch at Raheen for female ambassadors on Tuesday, 25th May.
Carlton’s female ambassadors, representing women from all fields of endeavour, included Rebecca Twigley, Nicole Livingstone, Sam Lane, Sarah Fitzgerald, Jenny Kernahan, Leonie Swann, Jo Silvagni, Rita Silvagni and no 1 female ticket holder, Vivienne Kerr.
CEO Greg Swann spoke about the Club as a leading sporting organisation in Australia and outlined the importance of ‘community’ in the Club’s mission. Work of the Carlton Football Community Fund was explained by executive officer, Yuta Kobayashi who is employed by the Club to manage the AFL Multicultural program and other community programs, including the Visy in Schools Environmental program. The Blues number 17 Setanta O’hAilpin was in attendance and he outlined his role as ambassador for the Multicultural program and said he enjoyed the opportunity to meet children from refugee backgrounds and inspire them through sport. He said there were some similarities in his own journey from relocating from Ireland to Australia to play AFL.
Alex Rathgaber, who is playing in the Production Company’s coming season, entertained guests with some popular songs that had everyone inspired!

Sponsors
Our appreciation and support is extended to CFC ambassador, Ann Rathbone and the team at Yering Station who have supported Women of Carlton since its inception in 2003. I am sure most of you will be familiar with Yering Station’s superb range of wines and award winning cellar door facility in the Yarra Valley! How lucky we are to have such a terrific sponsor.
Anne Ali and her team at Centastaff Recruitment have been the driving force behind the Player Ambassador Award which is presented annually to the player who displays outstanding attributes both on and off the field. We encourage you to refer or discuss your HR needs with Anne. Last year’s winner Michael Jamison is a familiar face to many members and he is delighted with the prize, a Tag Hueur watch.
Ambassadors
A group of high profile women represent the CFC as Ambassadors and promote the Club with pride as members of Women of Carlton.
