Dinner with the Boys!
Women of Carlton, the official female supporter group of the CFC, sponsor Jarrad Waite and Shaun Hampson through the Guernsey Club. It was a “full house” at the annual dinner held in their honour on July 2 which proved to be a great success with more than 140 WoC members and their guests attending the Treacy Conference Centre in Parkville for the annual Dinner with the Boys.

Jarrad and Shaun were joined by Michael Jamison, Ryan Houlihan, Adam Hartlett, Adam Bentick, Shaun Grigg and Sam Jacobs who were all terrific sports and provided some interesting insights into the working of the team and progress with individual players.

Women of Carlton members and player relatives, Margaret and Stephanie Kruezer, Dee and Stephanie Hampson, Robyn Grigg and Anna Koutoufides were joined by a VIP group of supporters at the Dinner.

Yering Station WoC’s major sponsor supplied boutique wine for the event with owner and CFC Ambassador Ann Rathbone also providing Ryan Houlihan to attend.

Thanks to Shirley and John McCuspie, Lois McCormack and Maureen Evans, Bruce and Elaine Nibbs for also generously providing their sponsored players to Women of Carlton.

Home Games at Etihad Stadium – Plan a visit to the Arena View Room

Members and their guests are invited to visit the Private Dining Area of the Arena View Room (level 2, near Livewire) at Etihad Stadium at home games for a complimentary drink and to experience the magnificent view of the Stadium. The Room is open pre game and at half time at no charge and if you wish to stay for the entire game a small fee will be charged to cover staffing costs.

Sponsors

Our appreciation and support is extended to CFC ambassador, Ann Rathbone and the team at Yering Station who have supported Women of Carlton since its inception in 2003. I am sure most of you will be familiar with Yering Station’s superb range of wines and award winning cellar door facility in the Yarra Valley! How lucky we are to have such a terrific sponsor.

Anne Ali and her team at Centastaff Recruitment have been the driving force behind the Player Ambassador Award which is presented annually to the player who displays outstanding attributes both on and off the field. We encourage you to refer or discuss your HR needs with Anne. Last year’s winner Michael Jamison is a familiar face to many members and he is delighted with the prize, a Tag Hueur watch.

Vale Richard Pratt

Women of Carlton members were particularly saddened at the recent passing of former Club president and loyal WoC supporter, Richard Pratt.  We were privileged to experience the wonderful Pratt hospitality at Raheen and many members will fondly remember Richard warmly greeting every guest to our event on a cold July night last year. Our prayers and thoughts are with Jeanne and the family at this very sad time.
