Carlton's No. 45 Aaron Joseph is a hard and driven small-defender, with 72 AFL games under his belt.

The 24-year-old, who hails from Tasmania, is also musically minded and likes to spend his time hanging out with man's best friend.

We caught up with Aaron Joseph and put him On The Spot.

Who was your favourite AFL player growing up and why?
As I have always been a Blues supporter, it would have to be Matthew Lappin. I remember him taking heaps of screamers and kicking a lot of goals.

If you weren't playing AFL, what would you be doing?
As I already play guitar, I'd love to be in a band. Otherwise, I would most likely be an apprentice electrician and hopefully owning my own business.

What music are you listening to on your iPod?
A lot of stuff – country, R&B, rock and heavy metal.

Who would you pay to see in concert?
Metallica. I have already seen them once, and would love to see them again.

What's your favourite movie?
Transformers – the first one.

If you had to cook to impress someone, what would you cook?
I would start off with bruschetta, then serve lamb shanks on mash potato, and finish off with caramel slice and ice-cream.

Favourite place that you have been on holiday?
The best place that I have been on a footy trip is Las Vegas, but if I needed a relaxing holiday  I'd head to Hawaii.

What are the current fashion trends at Carlton FC?
You're asking the wrong bloke! But I always look to see what Sugar (Kane Lucas) is wearing - he's always on trend. I see him in a lot of unbuttoned collard shirts with a t-shirt on underneath. He's also very much into his hair.

What's the best advice that you have ever been given?
It would have to be from my Dad – if you want something, go get it.

If you were to give advice to a budding footballer who dreams of AFL, what would it be?
If you want something, work hard to get it – and remember to have fun along the way.

When you're not at the Club, what are you doing?
I will be in my "man cave" at home, chilling out with my dog. I live with Josh Bootsma, so I spend a bit of time with him too.
