On Tuesday morning Carlton hosted a morning tea at Ikon Park for 250 of its most loyal members.

The players’ warm-up area was transformed into a wonderful venue, boasting 26 tables overlooking the historic oval.

The morning tea was held for 50-plus year members, a true testament of any Bluebagger’s dedication.

Carlton great David Rhys-Jones hosted the event, while special guests in the room included Blues Hall of Famer John Nicholls and Carlton Legend Ken Hands.

Carlton CEO Steven Trigg says it’s important to recognise and thank loyal members who have stuck by the Club through thick and thin.

Blues CEO Steven Trigg addresses the room full of dedicated Bluebaggers.

“It’s wonderful to see so many dedicated and committed Carlton members in one room,” Trigg said.

“Our members are the foundation of our club and it's vital they all have a sense of belonging in our Carlton community.

“Events like this morning are imperative to show our thanks and appreciation.”

The Blues currently have approximately 480 50-plus year members.
