The Carlton Football Club began the first leg of its journey under senior coach Brendon Bolton in 2016.
After notching up seven wins for the season – three more than last year – the Blues ended up finishing 14th on the ladder.
With the team now on a break, we’re taking a look back at each player’s year in statistics. Here’s the review for Carlton’s No. 20, Lachie Plowman:

OVERVIEW
Lachie Plowman was traded to Carlton along with three of his GWS teammates in October last year.
After overcoming hip injuries during pre-season, the young defender made his debut against the Western Bulldogs in Round 4. In his first hitout Plowman was set an imposing task – playing on key forward Jake Stringer – but he faced the challenge head on, keeping the dangerous target goalless.
His efforts in the air and on the ground made him a valuable defender in the Blues line-up, finishing the season ranked third at Carlton for one percenters and second for disposal efficiency.
In the Blues’ stirring victory over Port Adelaide in Round 8, Plowman played a vital role down back. He gathered 17 disposals, laid four tackles and had three rebound 50s.
Currently sitting on 39 games, he’ll be looking to notch up his 50-game milestone in the middle of next season.

SEASON HIGHLIGHT
In Round 16 against Adelaide, Plowman’s desperation saved a certain six points. With Crow Tom Lynch striding into an open goal, the young defender dragged Lynch down, throwing him over the behind line in a crunching tackle. Plowman's effort saw him awarded the Club's 'Tackle of the Week'.
